It’s time to prepare for the 2014 Heritage Village Season which begins on June 15th. I hope all of you are willing to give of your time and talent once again to make this a very successful season. Accompanying this letter is a form for you to return ASAP, (a self-addressed envelope is enclosed for your convenience), and a schedule of dates that help is needed.
Please note – Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. -8:00 p.m. & Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 1:30 p.m-3 p.m. These are training dates of which you will need to attend one, whether you’ve been a volunteer for years, or just beginning. There have been many changes made over the last year, particularly in the Greene General Store. Since these changes are critical to us, so is training critical for you. Please pick one of these dates on the attached form. If you are absolutely unable to attend either of those dates, please let me know and we will have to schedule a separate training.
In addition, we will be participating in the City Wide Rummage Sale and are looking for Vintage Treasures you wish to donate to raise money for the Village – Now is the time to clean out those closets and jewelry boxes. Items can be dropped off at the Village on May 28th from 9:00 a.m to Noon or June 3rd from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Vignes School. Please note that any items not sold will be donated to Clothe My People or discarded.
Please return the enclosed sheet by May 27th so we can get you scheduled and notices sent out.
If you are not able to volunteer in any way, please know that your financial help is always deeply appreciated, especially as we go into this season. Particularly since the break-ins, the maintenance and security of our buildings is crucial.
Thank you for all you do to make the Heritage Village a success.
Hope to hear from you soon!
