Historic Tea
May 2, 2026 at 1:00p.m. Cost is $30/ person
Step back in time and savor a steaming cup of tea while uncovering the fascinating history of tea—and its surprising role in shaping a nation.
Delight in finger sandwiches and sweet treats, all in the cozy ambiance of the historic Warren House at Heritage Village.
Dress the part! Wear your Sunday best—hats and gloves encouraged—for an elegant afternoon of history, hospitality, and a touch of revolutionary spirit.

Opening Day at Heritage Village
May 23, 2026 11am - 3pm. Admission is free
Step back in time and celebrate Opening Day at Heritage Village! Join us as we kick off the season with a day full of history, activity, and hands-on fun. Admission is free, so bring the whole family and explore the Village at your own pace.
Throughout the day, you’ll find interpreters bringing the past to life, demonstrations of traditional skills, and interactive activities for all ages. Try your hand at something new, ask questions, and experience what daily life was like in early Door County.

Eagle Bluff Light Station Grand Opening Celebration

Root Beer Festival
July 11, 2026 10am - 3pm. Admission is $5
Held the second Saturday in July, our Annual Root Beer Festival at Heritage Village is a favorite! Highlights include root beer tasting and root beer floats, as well as a history of root beer, brewing demonstration, historic games for the whole family, live music with polka lessons, and more! There will be something for everyone to enjoy throughout the day. Event runs from 10am - 3pm. Cost of admission is $5 for adults, 17 and under are free!

Apple Festival
Door County Historical Society's Apple Fest, typically occurs toward the end of September at Heritage Village. This family-friendly event provides a delightful day of apple-themed festivities, delicious treats, historical insights, and wholesome entertainment.

Twilight Tours
September 26 and October 3, 6pm - 8pm
Immerse yourself in an enchanting evening of history, culture, and creativity against the backdrop of the stunning Door County coastline. Twilight Tours is a unique event at Eagle Bluff Light Station that features captivating music, alluring stories, and inspiring poetry readings, creating an unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages.
A Glimpse of Christmas Past
Each Friday and Saturday in December from 3pm - 6pm, step into beautifully decorated buildings, each brought to life with historic holiday decor provided by local nonprofit organizations. Admission is free - vote for your favorite building with your donation. Whichever building raises the most money is the winner! All donations will be split with each nonprofit.
Hot chocolate, coffee, and Christmas cookies available for purchase in the Greene Store. Bring the whole family and be part of this holiday tradition while supporting local nonprofits!
